An integrated food supply chain

PNG’s largest pig producer. That’s not a marketing claim – it’s a verifiable operational fact. Rumion Farm, in the Morobe Province Markham Valley, runs a pig herd of over 12,000 head and supplies protein to an associated company, Prima Smallgoods, which processes and distributes pork products nationally.

Farm-to-processor reduces margin leakage and gives the group control over quality across the supply chain.

Built for where PNG’s protein supply needs to go

The operation doesn’t stop at pigs. Rumion grows its own corn (maize) exclusively for stockfeed – a feed security position that insulates the piggery from the cost volatility that destroys competing operations. The beef herd runs at over 4,000 head, backed by grain storage silos, a feedmill, and a fully equipped workshop.

This is not a livestock farm that happens to sell feed on the side. It’s a vertically integrated agricultural platform of a scale that simply doesn’t exist elsewhere in PNG.

Rumion Farm represents the kind of capital commitment that signals long-term intent – not a farming operation managing today’s throughput, but an agricultural platform built for where the protein supply chain in PNG needs to go.

That’s genuine optionality. Built in, not bolted on.
